A feelgood story for once.. I'm sure most of you are familiar with the breeding/experimenting story from a few months ago in Virginia.

Well they're in the process of finding homes for all of the rescued dogs. There's about 20 states who have shelters that they're adopting out from.

I know there's people on this board from all over (and this board loves dogs) so just thought I'd share. I looked into the ones in Nashville and they had about 40 that were spoken for or adopted within 30 minutes.

Admins - I don't have any stake in any of this - just thought I would share. Hopefully this thread is allowed. Only came to my attention because I was potentially interested in adopting one.

Also, apologies if this was posted previously.

Most rescue organizations send pets from the South up to the North.
I know of one beagle rescue place in NC.
That may be the closest around the South.

Eta: I just see the list. One I was referring to is the NC Triangle one.

At least it's good to see others.
These beagles will go very quickly to homes, I'd imagine

Not when you rip out their vocal chords.

I already have two beagles (Arnie, 3 and Chipper, 13). My wife would take all 4,000 sight unseen right now.
