Lafayette Police are investigating a fourth shooting at this hour, at Simcoe and St. Antoine. No other details are available at this time.
The third shooting was near Dorsey Park, in the 400 block of Carver Street, around lunchtime. No one was injured in that shooting, but a bullet did hit a car.
Authorities were already investigating two shootings Friday morning that left one dead and one injured on West Gilman Road when more shots rang out about a mile away on Carver Street at about 11:30 a.m.

While investigating that shooting, more shots rang out nearby in the 1100 block of North St. Antoine Street, Mouton said. Police Chief Jim Craft said the victim was shot several times and drove to officers in the 700 block of West Gilman Road.

The suspect arrested in connection with one of the shootings today in Lafayette just got out of jail Tuesday. 26-year-old William Broussard was booked last month on charges of flight from an officer, aggravated flight from an officer, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and resisting an officer.

In 2010, Broussard was arrested for shooting and killing 18-year-old Joshua Kelly on Friendship Street in Lafayette. He pled guilty to negligent homicide in that case.

Well it kind of is for 99% of the people who live there.

Exactly. And where are the activists? Nowhere. Why? These murders don't incite anger and pump cash into their coffers. Sickening.
