Most places do this.

235/45/18 tires are low profile probably soft rubber. Generally these tires won't last as long as more conventional tires regardless of make. Buy Michelin, keep them inflated and rotated often. Good luck.

Michelin tires are for the guy who just loves the name and has money to waste. Seriously they offer ZERO advantages over other tires.

IF tire life is the OP's primary concern , and he's willing to sacrifice some handling then he needs to go with an H rated tire as opposed to a V,W,Y, or even Z rated tire, Several manufacturers make options that are just as good as the Michelins for way less money.

Also OP you didn't mention if the GoodYears on your vehicle now were the factory tires or not? If they were , just know this, factory tires are not the same tires you can buy aftermarket, even if they have the same name on them. The Goodyear Eagle is a damn good line of tires .

I like discount tire direct. Free shipping and a lot of times they have rebates and gift card rebates and stuff.

Exactly! I hear people bragging about their new wheels all the time and then whining when their tires cost so much more.

Tire prices have skyrocketed in the last 10 years, and actually the 15s and 16s have increased the most.

Michelin tires use higher quality materials, including carbon black and have better QC than others. I am not in the tire business but after 40 yrs in the auto service business as a manger, owner and consultant, I am convinced that long term Michelin tires outperform the others in ride, traction and tread life. But there are more expensive, no question. But as I was saying tire configuration, tire maintenance and driving style have more impact on tire life than brand.

Did you check pressure and rotate? Goodyear doesn't make a great tire, and neither does Firestone. Michelin is the best, but all tires will suck if you don't give them attention

This simply isn't true. Michelins are no better, and no worse than many other tires out there, and in fact carbon black has been used in all tires since 1910 and is what makes tires well black, because rubber is naturally white and tires would be white otherwise.

LINK

and the inclusion of carbon black into tire formulas has zero effect on anything other than the color of the rubber. Meaning you could just run white tires and have the exact same performance in all respects.

Get you some Walmart tires. There are more Walmarts around to get repairs if you have a warranty.

Michelin is all I buy. I haven't had another tire that could compare.

They are like $400 a tire for my truck so they better be good

Yokohamas are 10x better than shitty Firestone tires.

I got 68,000 miles with tread left on a set of Hankook Optimo tires on my wife's Explorer. I put another set right back on. I spent around $1000 but they are 20" factory rims and I did get 68,000 miles out of the first set.

Those are usually the best prices you are going to get.

This is the route I took. Put in your zip code on the tire rack site and they'll give you a list of shops they deliver to and have them put on for you. I paid $116 labor for everything at the shop that put them on.
