Live honey can be used to treat things like ear infections.

Supposedly a garlic oil could help too.

So if you are desperate you can look into those. It is supposed to be live honey, not store bought... but honey is supposed to be so lacking in water that perhaps it could deplete the infection

May want to try a different antibiotics, your baby has been on the same kind for a long time. They may not be working anymore.

Edt: l see this has been talked about

my son was 10 weeks old yesterday. We have been using the baby saline nose spray religiously since week two after his pediatrician suggested it after he was fighting sinus congestion.

not sure if this will help your situation, but it shouldn't hurt the issue.

as a HVAC engineer, i would also suggest running a humidifier this time of year in the baby's room. running a heater will dry the house out, and low humidity will swell sinus membranes, compounding the effects of a stuff nose. Ideal humidity in a space should be 50-60%. Boil a pot of the stove as well if you are running a heater.

Look into Dimetapp Cold and Cough. Check with your pediatrician to get the ok from them first. There are dosing charts available for kids under 2 even though the medication isn't marketed to be used on infants.

Kid may have had RSV somewhere along the line. My first had it and keep sinus and cold problems and even a couple of bouts of pneumonia after he had it. RSV is a cold virus than can be very bad but in most of us we just write it off as a cold.

Thinking it may be allergies, we took him to an allergy specialist who explained to us that once the little guy's bronchial tubes are inflamed and sort of scared it was harder for him to pass mucous and until he grew up more and those tubes got larger he would have different infections and the tubes just wouldn't heal all the way. That was exactly right. When he got about 3 years old he quit having sinus and bronchial problems and was hardly ever sick agin.

We did get a nebulizer and that help a LOT.

Anyone who puts honey in a baby’s ear should be removed from society.

Are there animals in the house?

We had good luck with the Nose Frieda and bought a baby vac for when they got older than 6 months. Keeps the mucas clear and gives them relief.

Allergies sound like it. What's in tour yard? Change laungry detergent. Bath soaps. Something is irritating her little body to react.

We had the same trouble with the constant ear infections. Got tubes and adnoids out still no better. Ended up at immunologist my daughter was missing some parts of her vaccines. Got a booster vaccine cleared up in a couple weeks been fine every since.
She is 12 now and has not had an ear infection in over 11 years.

Is your baby having any other cold like symptoms (cough, fever, etc)?

Could she have gotten a respiratory virus(which won't be killed by antibiotics)?

Went through identical sitiuation. We had a glider chair that we had to take turns sleeping in so he could be elevated. Lasted well over a year. Had 3 sets of tubes plus adenoids removed. Helped some but not a lot. Saw immunologist who found some issues and had to get booster vaccines at 2 which seemed to help more. It sucks but it could be worse.

Damn, so the tubes should have done the trick for the ears... no fluid to be infected, lesser chance of infection.

If you have done Amoxicillin, Augmentin (Amox. plus Calvulanate) and Cefidinir (Red shite meds), the next step would be a Rocephin shot.. a battery of three of these essentially knocked out our 16 month old's ear infection, but we are still due to see a Pediatric ENT.

My only advice for you would be Tylenol to help her sleep at night. Remember that sleep training plays a part. If she is used to waking up after 4-5 hours for feeding or cuddling, she may assume that is normal. If you are sure she is healthy and pain free, let her fight through it. This is why I would suggest some preemptive medication to ensure that she is not in pain.

I AM NOT A DOCTOR. Just a dad with a kid who has ear infections like I have hangovers.

You don't eat it in this case... honey has been known forever to be naturally anti–bacterial, anti–viral, and anti–septic.

https://honeyandbeauty.com/how-to-use-manuka-honey-for-ear-infection.html

Mix one teaspoon of manuka honey with three teaspoons of water. Mix them well and use the liquid as the liquid to be dropped inside your ear.

Bacteria from bees possible alternative to antibiotics
13 lactic acid bacteria found in the honey stomach of bees have shown promising results in a series of studies at Lund University in Sweden.

In the lab, researchers also tested the bees’ lactic acid bacteria against human bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus (staph infections), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (a common cause of ear infections and skin rashes from water), and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE; a bacteria usually encountered in hospitals). The honey counteracted all of them.

Honey: Bacteria's Worst Enemy

https://www.dermnetnz.org/topics/honey/

In most cases, honey is used when conventional antibacterial treatment with antibiotics and antiseptics are ineffective. Numerous studies have shown that these difficult-to-heal wounds respond well to honey dressings. Inflammation, swelling and pain rapidly subside, unpleasant odours stop, debridement is enhanced as the honey dressings remove dead tissue painlessly and without causing damage to the regrowing cells. Honey promotes rapid healing with minimal scarring.

Never give a baby honey. Its too thick and they can take it into their lungs and they'll suffocate.

There are even warnings on bottle of honey.
