Feeding 4-5 people for $35 is pretty good, tbh

Not when it comes to paying $35 for 10 pieces of chicken. It’s ridiculous that we are at the point where people can justify prices like that. No one has to pay those prices and then a small business goes under and the cycle continues.

So $3.50 a piece???

The chicken came with sides, so it was not $3.50 per piece.

Just ignoring the 2 sides all of a sudden?

If those were family sized sides it actually sounds pretty reasonable

That is horrific pricing

Blue store chicken 12 piece (4 breasts, 4 thigh, 4 wings) is $12.99

You can get 100 pieces mixed bucket for $72.99

$35 for 10 pieces of chicken is robbery

I didn’t see the two sides included in the order, but that doesn’t change much especially if it’s something like Popeyes. Chicken prices at the store, especially wings are better than a couple years ago but that’s not the case for fast food chicken places or a small business. We don’t even get coupons in the monthly mailings for Popeyes anymore, now it’s just Subway and Burger King.

There is a zero percent chance those prices are accurate

You are a bumbling idiot when it comes to anything economic so no doubt that does sound reasonable to you lol

Then $35 is completely reasonable. Maybe consider what it actually takes to get that fried chicken in your fat gut, from farm to table.

Farmer has to get paid
Slaughterhouse has to get paid
Delivery service has to get paid
Restaurant has to get paid.

I spent mostly all my youth living off ramen and hot dogs. Taco bell was a luxury. Weekends with grandparents I sometimes got a gravy biscuit from Hardee's.

Sounds like you need to teach your kids how to be broke. Maybe they'll appreciate things more when they're older.

It was probably Indi’s, which has like 8 locations, and 3 or 4 spinoffs in Lexington and Louisville. The menu is basically the same as the Dixie Chicken one but those are pre-Covid prices.

The party wings are popular with my crew, someone usually brings a 30 piece but they’re $29 now.
