People are obviously manipulating the # tested which will be exposed during CLIA evaluations once this all calms down.

How would they do this? Multiple tests on a single patient?

I saw someone else talking about manipulating tests and trying to figure out how/why.

Were these in the trunk of a DNC staffer’s car?

All the freak out about Florida right now is to get to the point where the RNC doesn’t happen

Not a doubt in my mind with these people at this point

Yeah its definitely not because Florida is getting 15,000 cases a day, more than most countries

It really is shocking how stupid some people are on this site

There is no benefit to doing so and I don't understand why one would do so. Billing is separate from state reporting. No financial benefit, at least that I am aware of on a state level.

My mother took a test and tested positive with zero symptoms

Why test if you have zero symptoms? What would trigger you to test? Or did her employer require testing? I'm just curious

This isn't true.

From LDH's dashboard about the data:

quote:

Tests reported here include those completed by the LDH Office of Public Health Laboratory and those performed by commercial labs and reported to the state. Tests are assigned to parish based on the residence of the individual being tested when possible. Some negative test results from commercial labs may not have been reported to the state. Some of the commercial test results reported to the state are from out of state.

From LDH's guidance on reporting:

quote:

COVID-19 positives should be reported immediately by phone at 1-800-256-2748 or by fax at 504-568-8290. Please notify the LA-OPH Interoperability Team of the chosen reporting method.

In addition, all COVID-19 results (positive, negative, and inconclusive)should be reported by ELR.

Maybe it's not rampant, but there are labs not reporting their negative tests in a timely fashion.

Then they should update the April numbers and not artificially inflate the July's

While that’s a reasonable approach, but let’s not pretend that will change anything on the believability front.

People here would just rail on them for constantly changing their numbers.

I found out states like nj were including deaths from april in their july daily totals.

Most are because of the lag in reporting.

So someone having it in April is just the same as someone having it in July to you? That is accurate, actionable, data in your world? Just a "lag" in reporting, huh?

This is fake.

Not saying it is or isn't but what makes you say this?

Lab testing info begins on page 25 ... if you keep scrolling, there are lots of labs with 100% positive rates.
How the F does that happen?? It IS the FDH site so if they're putting out false info, that in itself is an issue.

I would guess because those are only results from one day (and probably over the weekend) and the state asks that all positives be reported immediately.

So, the labs work OT to report the positives then catch up on the negatives after the work week starts.
