Even with a really good paying job that I worked during breaks and a part time one during school, I still went from Bud Light baller during the beginning of the semester to Natty Light/MD 20/20 bum by the end of it

The Freshman 15 is a more accurate stat. Hunger has to be the least of problems in the US considering 90% of the population is obese.

The ramen stereotype was always weird to me too. I don't think I knew anyone in college who actually ate that. Hell, I think I've only had it once?
This is the craziest thing I've heard today.

Really? I knew tons of people that ate that in college. Not every meal, but often enough.
I ate the frick out of it, but then again I always liked the stuff. I still keep a few packs in the pantry and eat it if I’m feeling lazy and want something quick.

I ate ramen occasionally, but mostly those cheap chow mien noodles that come in the retangular box thing that you add water to. Changed oil at Benny’s in college and vividly remember scarfing those down in the break room.

I don't really like liquid as a meal and the one time I had it, it was 90% liquid with a few floaties.
I ate aa lot of Spaghetti O's because I think they're delicious, but I really just don't remember any of us having to live on things like that. Most of my friends either lived in dorms and had dining plans, or still lived at home, or had TOPS and worked to cover living expenses.

It’s a noodle soup not a post-Pancho’s bowel movement.

36% are House Insecure and Food Insecure. 9%-12% are Homeless. It's mainly kids who grew up in poverty who have trouble making ends meet. Pushing kids to college has been going on for a while now. So now we have a bunch of kids who grew up in poverty and are trying to get a degree for a better life. Considering that 21% of kids live in poverty, it's not a shocking statistics to think this study is accurate.

So you don't eat soup?

It's like 2 cups of broth with a bunch of noodles in it.
You can even drop an egg in and get the same consistency as egg drop soup. Or soft boil one and drop it in.
