Those numbers seem low

That’s actually not that bad for a holiday summer weekend for us. Might be the lowest we’ve had in quite a long while, actually.
Two reasons, I think: violent crime has been down this year + it was a shitty weekend weather-wise - wet and cool.

Crime is down everywhere. The unemployment rate at nearly 3% really helped out.

Do these numbers include the ones shot, killed, buried and forgotten about already this weekend or just the ones that were accidentally reported to the police?

New Orleans...now this is how you do it BIG...

Even if Chicago had a higher rate per capita of gun violence compared to NOLA, which they don't, all you're saying is "NOLA isn't so bad because it's worse somewhere else!"
That's a really shitty standard to hold your city to, IMO. Shouldn't people be looking to cities with BETTER crime statistics and asking themselves how they can emulate that, rather than try to feel good about your shitty situation because "hey, it could be worse!"

Nola has a population of 350,000 compared to over 2,000,000 in Chicago and has already had 4 murders this wknd. Chicago has rookie numbers.

I’d say it was high time for Chicago to take down that murder causing statue.

Wait until Fourth of July weekend when it's even hotter.

It literally rains bullets in New Orleans on the Fourth. Resembles Baghdad in a lot of ways.

Black Lives Matter will put a stop to this violence.

But, But, But, Newark, New Orleans, St.Louis, and Detroit are more dangerous.

You are more likely to miss when firing a gun sideways.

Obama had numerous failures during his political career. The biggest one to date (to date may I add) was turning his back on the black population that propelled him into office, especially Chicagoans.

Is it wrong if I wish the kill rate were a lot higher?
