That would be me
Tuscaloosa is a crap town and it’s dangerous
This story shows the culture of victimization that is taking hold in not just Tuscaloosa but all over the US and it’s pitiful.

Raise the expectation and fail about 1/2 and you will be fired. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t. There is no answer.

sounds like the ultimate goal is to have schools with no whites allowed. Everything works in a cycle I guess.

The only answer is a spiritual revolution. Apart from that we are doomed.

The police should track them down and cite for truancy.

Blacks should have their own schools, I guess. Bummer

At one time, maybe the 90s, Hillcrest HS was one of the more desired high schools in the area. Several things changed this.
One: the city of Tuscaloosa (Hillcrest is a County school and not part of the city school system) went from one high school for every resident of Tuscaloosa to three separate high schools. That created an area in which, I'll say it, that slowed the white flight from the city schools. One of the high schools, Northridge, became the better high school in the city, keeping some from moving to the Hillcrest HS area of the county.
Two: the April 27, 2011 tornadoes ripped through a large portion of Tuscaloosa, including an area called Alberta City. This is a lower class area of town. Not the worst area, but close.
Many of those citizens and their children were displaced to other areas of town, chiefly the Hillcrest area where section 8 apartments have been constructed, along with a lot of cheap 3 BR/ 2 Ba, 1100 SF homes packed all next to each other. Henceforth, you arrive where we are in 2023

In basketball for sure. In football, probably.

As if AL is the birthplace of scholars. Soon they’ll be using crayons like LA and MS.
