There are a lot more bait fish and minnows near the shore today. It’s also the calmest day of the week so far. I’m sure that has something to do with it.

when I lived in FL and used to do a lot more offshore fishing sometimes we's stop at the inlet when the tide was changing to catch greenies for live bait, usually pretty early in the morning, watching the fish finder was pretty eerie, there are some big monsters hanging out there for feeding time

My guess is that the return of the sea turtle population is the cause of the rise in shark attacks.
Not to mention the shark population has increased ten fold since I was a kid.

We were out in the water this morning in Miramar. Saw tons of sea life. Sting rays, sea turtle, and like others have said, bait fish and minnows. Water is very very calm and it’s easy to see anything. No one went more than 25 yards out besides some paddle boarders. Was a nice morning with not a lot of people around. Pretty good time for my wife, son and his friend we brought along. Lunch and rest now and we will go back out later.

Bought blow up paddle board last summer. Great investment. Just a bitch to haul down to the beach.

$200 and I can stand on it weighing 240 pounds with no problem

Saturday is always rental turnover day so not going to be many out today. Tomorrow will be the first test to see who’s still scared

Something is definitely going on that's making these sharks suddenly attack people. Shark attacks are extremely rare, even though thousands and thousands of people go into the water every day in the summer. Definitely interested in seeing what they discover!

Do you think this is the 100th attack this summer? There have been 3 cases in the last 20 years in this area. Even after yesterday, it’s still very rare.

The govt is putting chemicals in the ocean that turn the sharks gay for human flesh

He says sharks are everywhere. Like swimming through people, etc and nobody knows they’re even there.

Not 9’ Bull Sharks inside the first sandbar like was supposedly involved here.

Outside the second bar? Unless I’m on a boat, board or kayak I’ll pass.

I went out about 25 yards or so this morning. The water was calm and clear I could see another 25 yards in front of me.

Pretty easy to avoid. Don't swim and go in the ocean.
