That is quite a conundrum... black victim, black perps,
Lest we forget it was the racist white institutions which caused this black on black murder.

(It had nothing to do with the fact that Mr. Nichols was having an affair with one of the officer’s wives)

Was this really the connection? I remember it coming out that he was known to at least one of the cops, and that it was personal.

Ok so ironic that black defendants moved the location of the jury pool to being drawn from a white area to seek justice.

Given how big of a story the murder was, pulling any juror from Shelby County, or even the Memphis TV area was not happening.

I think this has a lot more to do with the defendants being cops. Since you know, their own body cams recorded them beat this man to death while handcuffed.

If Nichols actually was being Jody, it was never presented in court.

And personally I doubt that was anything more than conjecture. Nichols was a family man and the defense only presented he was in possession of a bank card not in his name and some mushrooms. He seemed too nerdy to Jody a gang banger cop's old lady and he was driving to his mother's house after work.

Well, maybe you weren't around here when it broke. Or, you had your head up your arse. It made the rounds for a few weeks, and there was a long thread on it here.

Those cops murdered that man in cold blood.

They will burn in hell forever eventually.

And frick everyone who had part in making this a negatively-rated post.

Had more faith in the OT than this.

This is from the goddamned Poli board.

The prosecuting attorney said in the press conference afterwards that a motion was filed by the defense to search for jurors in an area that had the least media coverage on the case.

Apparently Hamilton county (Chattanooga) fit the bill.

Wasn't this one on video? If this is the case I'm remembering it seemed pretty open and shut they were guilty.
