Are you still in the area?

...If so, you aren't safe.

I don't think people realize that central city and 7th ward area see a much greater amount of violence than East NO

I'm in Nebraska, but I used to live near New Orlgadeshu. Makes you think.

I drove on I-10 in New Orleans yesterday. It really could have been me and that’s not even a joke.

What good is that going to do?

Katrina was 13 years ago...these thugs that are causing havoc right now weren't even 5 years old yet.....

Katrina didnt do anything to curb the crime in the city.....

Nonsense- Katrina had a huge impact on crime. Crime droped in NOLA for a few months, and suddenly spiked in places like Baton Rouge and Houston. Storm anxiety, I suppose.

It would have been if greedy politicians didn't mess it up. They were set up to be a maritime production mecca and instead never landed any huge non government companies. If you think of all the water frontage and road access it's really a damn shame.

the east was where a lot of relatively wealthy people moved. Hell they even had a neighborhood where pro athletes lived.

Yep. The shitbags never changed their shitbag ways- no matter who got stuck with them.

Many who go through a life-altering event wake up and realize how fragile life is. With these creeps- they couldn't care any less.

True. But, rates were historically low.

Perhaps it was because only ppl interested in working were living in N.O. ?

The thugs that were still here kept doing thuggish things...the police just looked the other way..they were outnumbered and just let them run wild in the East and thats one of the reasons the East is what it is.....
