I wish... here it's $500/week/child, outside of the city is $350/week/child.

If we had twins I may as well start begging on the street corner.

My kids are all close together and they are all better friends with each other than I've ever been with anyone.
It's hard to have a bunch of little ones.
It's awesome to have a bunch of little ones.
God bless and congratulations

Try to figure out a way to go down to one salary and let your wife stay home. Think outside the box.

Took a while but that is an underrated aspect of having twins. Mine are 5 now.

Yeah, I only said that because my son is 4 and he wants to play ALL THE TIME and it hurts his feelings when we can't play with him because we are doing household things or have to leave to go the office. I have a stepdaughter who is 14 but she is kind of doing her own thing now. I know if he had a twin or a sibling close in age he wouldn't feel so lonely. It's kind of heartbreaking, really.

Had a 6 month old when I found out about baby 2.

They are now 3 & 2.

Just don't plan on doing much but caring for kids for a few years.

Hey guy, my post, like Yankee's were just O-T jokes. Lighten the hell up...and go get another job and get a morning paper route.

Your wife doesn't want to stay home? I mean she has to pull over 50-60k for it to start being worth paying for daycare. And jobs that pay that much, or more, generally mean quite a bit of stress added to the stress of 3 kids. I've got a third on the way and my oldest is 3.5 years old. Wife stays home, but not because I'm ballin, but just because it makes sense.

That's what is stressing me out. She's a teacher so after day care she wouldn't bring in much extra. Being sole provider for wife and 3 kids is terrifying

If all of her earnings go to child care you're basically already going to be sole provider. I would rather have her watching the kids than a daycare but I don't know her, she could be a horrible person.

My wife and I took custody and started the adoption process in Feb for a brother and sister that turned 1 and 2 in June. Shortly after receiving custody, we found out that my wife was pregnant and due in Oct. So we will have 3 under 3 in a span of 8 months. We had 1 week to prepare for the first 2.

When you start looking at daycare costs, it may be worth considering having your wife finding a work from home/part time option. My wife did not go back to work. We weighed the cost and benefits of daycare and her working vs what she could provide to them in terms of love, attention and developmental skills that they had clearly missed out on. It was a no brainer for her not to go back to work.

I pay $125 now. It sucks I didn't get in the pre-K lotto program. Could have saved me some money. Oh well it'll be lunch money next year
