Fatality rate all the way up to 4.3%. This is bad.
Posted on 3/27/20 at 12:10 pm to Impotent Waffle
deaths are doubling every 2 days (roughly) in LA and every 3 in US (roughly)
At this rate theyll be over 1000 deaths in Louisiana by Tuesday
Edit: doubling every TWO days, pass 1000 in a week or so

Except for the fact Louisiana does not publish the number of people who have recovered. Also, It only tells you the number of people who had bad enough symptoms to get tested. I think with more and faster testing options now coming along we might likely see the death rate fall.
Still very serious and sad to see.

They are only testing the worst. So the mortality rate is useless.

EBR deaths still at 4.

Isn't it safe to say that most people testing positive contracted this 7-10 days ago? Meaning we are not yet seeing the benefit of all this "staying at home"?
We're also only testing people with extreme symptoms so that number of positives is skewed as well.

We’re peaking this weekend, early next week (in real-time).

This for sure! I think the number of cases is probably 2 or 3 times higher than the confirmed cases number...

Yeah, that's not happening.

I’ve read 6 to 7 times higher as an estimate.
