More somber tone today...what will today's Louisiana corona numbers be? (total cases/total deaths)

3/25 - 1795/65

3/26 - 2305/83

3/27 prediction 2975/120

Actual 3/27 2746/119

Not mocking the seriousness or thumbing my nose at it, this is trying to keep things light and get through the day. Also, just curious if the rates of increase for LA will match Italy's the first few weeks after the first documented case...aka the handwritten chart

Disclaimer: This is in no way scientifically accurate or should it affect policy in any way

Rando has a great post explaining this here 4th post down

Key Line:
quote:

Without knowing testing rates, population density, risk factors, eliminating deaths not attributable to the virus, correcting for deaths not being attributed to it, or correctly indexing all of the above into empirical vs normative data sets... The numbers are worthless.

ETA - upped deaths

If you're right Jon Bel is really gonna be pissed at us again at his press conference. Telling us to quit doing stuff. While he does his daily press conference.

I’m going to parlay the over 3000 cases and over 100 deaths.

I got 2 units 3055 cases at 500/1.

I feel worse because I started a spreadsheet in hopes of improving my bets.

This is what happens without sports.
