I agree. Mike Andersons in Gonzales is much better.

Pastime changed the ground meat on their pizza a few years ago. Haven’t been back.

I never got pizza at Pastime. I got Poboys the few times I went. I know it’s an unpopular opinion but I thought Pastime was overrated. Maybe I should’ve tried the pizza.

Maybe it has gone downhill. That is too bad. I’ve had some of the best meals I’ve ever had anywhere at that place but I haven’t been in awhile.

If you want a good louisiana meal, go to Louisiana Lagniappe. If you want nostalgic college town staple, go stroll around campus and go to chimes.

Good lord, no. Bland except for the cole slaw. What a disappointment.

The times I've been the food was pretty good.

Don't quote me on this, but I think its owned by someone else now. The last time I went it was for lunch and the menu was minimal.

This is the lunch menu.

jubans.com

There are 10 entrees for lunch, but I want to say the last time we went it 6 or 8 entries. I was a little disappointed because I like the atmosphere there...

My only real destination restaurant was Tehas de Brazil. I like that place and don't like the Brazillian steak house in Nola.
I want to find a reason to go eat at Torchy's tacos again. Haven't been there in since the one in Austin.

It went downhill in 2009 after Miriam 'retired" amid the family drama. It closed in 2020 and the reopened in 2022 and it really hasn't been great (fine but not great) since the reopen.

That makes since. The last time I went was the first time since Covid (I hate that that's how we remember shite... Pre or post covid). Before Covid I had been a numerous of times, but the last time was disappointing.

OP, you can go north into St. Francisville to The Francis or if you want good pizza go check out Sonny's
