A teenager who died at Manchester Arena last night has been named as Georgina Bethany Callander.

The 18-year-old Ariana Grande superfan, who was pictured with the pop star two year ago, was killed in a blast police have confirmed was detonated by a lone suicide bomber.

Actor Sean Maguire took to Twitter to pay his respects to the "young and sweet" teenager who reportedly died in hospital with her mum at her bedside.

Just met this girl in April," he said. "She was killed last night in Manchester. My love to her and all the families of the victims."

Georgina was one of at least 22 people killed in the blast last night.

She had tweeted the US pop singer on Sunday, writing: “SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU TOMORROW.

I think the majority of the victims will be under 18

Ariana Grande has reportedly been left ‘in hysterics’ following the devastating terror attack in Manchester on Monday night.

The 23-year-old pop star allegedly remains inconsolable, and speculation is mounting on social media that Grande may have been taken to hospital although this is unconfirmed.

‘Sources in contact with the singer tell TMZ, Ariana is devastated that young people who came for a good time are now lying dead and injured,’ reports the American publication.

Grande was reportedly backstage, having just finished the show, when the bomb exploded in the foyer of the arena.

Grande has now reportedly suspended her world tour, cancelling scheduled performances in London this Thursday (25 May), and Europeans dates in Poland, Germany and Switzerland.

Yes, it is. And the general presumption is that it was an attack by Islamic terrorist(s). Subsequently, several posters, who are graduates of the "Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out" school of thought, have recommended genocide as the only practical solution to the problem.

They may be correct, but I think implementing their plan will meet more resistance than they anticipate. Killing every Muslim on the planet will be considerably more complicated than attempting to kill every Jew in Europe.

Apparently your threshold hasn't been reached yet but many people's has so I recommend sitting this out if you don't have the stomach for it.

Que? Your reading comprehension sucks. I've stated multiple times that won't work in today's war.

Historically, that's the only way to fight a war. And it's the only true way to fight one. Total war or no war. I do believe that if we get in a ground war with isis that it should be total, in that we should level their strongholds and put every single one of then to the sword.

But that won't stop terrorist attacks.

Social media and the free, Unabated flow of information makes this type of war obsolete. War is ugly and horrible and the public can't handle that. Which is why we have limited warfare.

The second we put cameras on the ground filming the war was the second total war became obsolete. And now cameras are everywhere.

But social media and the free flow of information has another massive downside when it comes to these wars. In that you kill one, another pops up. Social media is the hydra of warfare.

And I have no idea how we can stop that without total and complete control over the spread of information. And that will never happen (as it shouldn't)

Ariana Grande should hold her next concert in Dubai just as a giant middle finger to the bad guys.

Who cares? Yes, war is an ugly and horrific thing. Have these people never read anything about wars? How the frick do they think the men died in warfare for millennia before us now? Jesus Christ the public needs to toughen the frick up. Because this limited warfare does nothing but get more of our men killed than kills them.
