Sending a couple 100000 to Houston is the best idea. It's a drop in the bucket for them. They take more than that from their southern border. At least the NOLA natives speak a form of the English language.

You sir are wrong. I was just there not too long ago and not once, ever was I patted down nor my gf. Nor was any other person we saw on Beale for the 5 days we were there and that included a weekend in those 5 days and covers daylight hours as well as late as 3am.
Not once. There were in fact barricades that prevented thru traffic. And in fact there were police standing next to them. But they never said anything to anyone.

Oh hell no! We already took quite a bit off your hands a few years ago and I think Houston collectively said "no more" after that fiasco.
