I refuse to do Bourbon Street on a Saturday night anymore. You feel like you're waking on eggshells. Too many thugs out and about who would just as soon knife/shoot you as look at you.

It can be anything Slo. Being in sales it just irks me when people who hold power in large purchasing decisions a) let everyone know this privilege & b) threaten to remove his business due to an isolated incident at 3am knowing good damn well that c.) It would take an act of god to reverse the logistics of 2,000 hotel rooms, meetings, flights, dinners, etc to a completely different city.

Indeed, I keep my arse relegated to the Magazine/St Charles bars. I've never really gone back to the Quarter at night since the halloween shooting a few years back and pretty much refuse to play tour guide for my out of town friends that want to go there.

Bourbon is a shite hole, but you should even be able to be in a shite hole without getting shot at. Last time I was there it was full of hood rat black folks and nasty wife beater wearing white folks. All smoking, all walking 8 abreast.
