FIFY again. Other cars do a tiny bit better lol
very true. Good thing I sold it last Friday. But I don’t think the 720S that’s on the way will do any better

I got ratioed pretty hard with my negative comments, which I expected. Think of how much juice you have to have as a Lambo owner to get on the list for one of 112 (IIRC) they are making and you get a warmed-over Aventador with modest wow factor from the company known to design wow over everything else and its patriarch literally was the car to bring the sharp-angled over the top wow to supercars.
Consider the cars it competes against
LaFerrari
P1
Senna
Chiron
One:1
Vulcan
Huayra
Centenario also from Sant'Agata Bolognese

That is truly an unpopular opinion
design-wise McLaren and Ferrari blow Lambo out of the water, imho

Did I miss an example from a certain car company in Sweden?

I kid i kid. I almost pulled the trigger on one last year but once I saw the 765 that became the one I want. I had been wanting to attend the smokies GT events with my friends so I went back to porsche for a while with a 991.2 GT3RS WP.

Thanks. It should be fun. I’ll keep it for a couple years then move on like I always do. I really wanted a 765, but just couldn’t justify the extra spend. I only get to COTA a couple times a year and the 720 will be plenty for me.

I'm gonna buy three, poors.
The thing is that the Countach never looked good in the U.S. because they had to mount those stupid fricking bumpers on them and they looked goddamned terrible.
This new car lives up to the styling of the original, but has all the required safety equipment built in, so the lines the designer dreamt up are what we get.

While I agree it’s a hard sell when compared to those cars you pictured the reality is most ‘new’ Countach owners probably already have one of those too.

you don't understand how small they are until you see one in person, and I've never seen one in person.
Went to Miami last year. They have a company that rents them. Never seen so many douche bags trying to impress in their rented cars

ETA people should keep in mind this is a 2.5 million dollar special edition. It isn't like it is a $280k Huracan level car.
Let's be honest. It's a douche-mobile. You are literally paying an extra 2 million dollars for that car based on availability and name. That's it. It doesn't even look different than what's out there, as opposed to the 1980's when Lambo pushed the boundaries.
Here's a C8 Stingray you can get for under 150k.
I know a Corvette isn't a Lambo, but just look at these two cars and their specs.

I think to qualify as douche mobile they have to be driven and shown off. Most of these will barely see the road if at all.

Correct. This is an investment/passion project.
The only people who are getting the ability to purchase this are long-time, major money lambo owners. It wouldn't shock me if Lambo retains the right of first refusal on the sale of any of these (which Ferarri is somewhat known for), to ensure they control who owns these cars.

But these Countaches may be worth $15-20M + one day.
Those vets are not likely to even appreciate long-term.

What people fail to realize, saying only douches will buy these, are that these "douches" have "frick you money" the only miles on almost every single one of these cars will be to drive it from the trailer to the garage/warehouse/photoshoots. 20+ years from now they will be on Barret-Jackson selling for insane amounts of money. This goes for any of these highly exclusive super/hyper cars. The people who buy them and actually drive them on any sort of regular basis have true frick-you money and just don't care.

I legit just got a boner from that gif commercial. Thankful my dick still does that so easily.

If they would make a pure ICE version (no hybrid crap) with a 6 speed gated manual, I’d be interested.
But at 600k one could have a new Huracan and a new 911.
