That's fast out the hole.

So is this a 10sec 1/4mi car??

Depends on weight but probably not enough HP to break 10s at least as "the spec" I would guess very low 11s.

Look towards Sttugart and Maranello.

The lights just went on in the engineering and marketing departments.

Better put a pot of whiskey on boys, America just fired a shot.

They wouldn't claim it if they haven't already done it.

Mid engine helps tremendously.

It is. Now to get used to not having 10' of nose in front of you.

Ha!

That’s exactly the point. Exotic with dependability and priced on planet earth.

This car is putting quite a few fancy pants on notice.

So do you get all the features like launch system and such at 60k or am I paying +90k?

The LC is basically just a few lines of code but I would guess BEFORE market adjustment the average one is going to be equipped around $80 MSRP. You start taking on the Z51 packages etc and the price will likely balloon. I have seen an initial order sheet leaked from a dealer and the options list is LONG not Porsche long but certainly Vette long.

It's a Vette so the base model has to be reasonable.

About 15 years ago the break even point for the Vette plant was 15k Vettes. The base models make the ZR1's possible.

Always hard to replicate the factory times, but everyone does it.

Line up a test driver to do 200 launches just to get below 3 seconds once.

Any idea of cost of Z51 package?

Wondering if that launch control needs a new tranny to go with it or how valuable they want those few lines of code to be.

Or if thet want to be like porsche and make you pay for each launch

1k Destination fees.
1.5K leather
2K on rim's

So really 65k price nonnegotiable.

Depends on the company, some are notoriously conservative, some are more best-case scenario but I didn't get the impression that sub-3s were standard. R&T and MT will almost certainly get sub-3s if it is possible, R&T in particular likes to set the bar. If it does I think it will be the lowest HP car to be tested by a major rag at under 3.

The order sheet had no pricing but the C7 Z51 package was ~$5k which may or may not have any correlation to the C8.
