C4 is my least favorite with the C2's a close second. C1 '58-60 and C3 '68-72 are the only ones I'm truly interested in.

The C7 is a beautiful car, but in that range (especially the ZR1) I'd probably purchase something else.

I'm anxious to see the Zora.

You don’t like the ‘63-67 C2?

No, not a fan.

I purchased a '67 427/4spd side exhaust car from a friend for a great price thinking it would grow on me. It never did, sold it and bought a '69 427/4spd/side exhaust C3.

The C2's are flat and lack the curves of the C1's and especially the early C3's front fenders.

Part of it is everyone and their brother likes the C2, very common and very popular, and that is a turnoff for me.

Corvette will never be viewed as a true performance car until Chevy gets smart and makes it midengine .

All the truly great performance supercars are mid engine.

It is simple physics

As long as it is only going to have two seats anyway, why not??

It really is. And their insurance is really good as well.

What you are really talking about is a rear mid-engine car, the current Corvette (as they have been since the C2) are in fact mid-engine cars. The desirability of the rear mid-engine car is based more in its exotic nature than the moment of inertia and weight distribution. Both front and rear mid-engine layouts have their pros and cons just like 2wd vs 4wd. It really comes down to the design of the chassis. Consider the 991 GT2 RS is the fastest production car ever around the Ring and it hangs its engine off the back and makes do with RWD. It beats the 919 hypercar around the Ring by 10 seconds.

NOLA Motorsports Park, Barber, VIR, AMP etc etc. While most people drive fast cars mainly commuting there are people who drive fast cars and actually track them.

The same could be said for all other "fast" cars.

Going well, in the process of converting the wipers to electric (did the headlights a few months ago). I'll drive it one last time over Thanksgiving before a strip her down for paint.

Have you been driving yours?

Good to hear your project is going well. Had mine out this morning. Took the wife out for a drive and breakfast. I'm going to stick with the vacuum system as long as it is still working. Replaced the relay valve and actuator a couple years ago. The LS conversion is still in the back of my mind. Just went over 26,000 I guess it's broken in now??

That '19 is sexy though.

This weather is perfect, I'm going through withdraws at the moment. The car is Louisiana and my father's shop, haven't driven it in several months.

Yeah if I still had the carb I would have kept all the vacuum setup. I figured since everything was out why not. And yeah, 26,000 is just barely broken in.
