However, I do agree w the premise of your post. Our industry has done a magnificent job of scaring the shite out of people when it comes to termites.
I have woods behind my house and it was clear where it was coming from and even the person who did the treatment eventually said it was fine and there was no evidence of termites anywhere, but of course at that point it is too late after he has done the treatment. But I appreciate your honesty about some people's practices. They are no better than scammers if fear is what they make their money on.

Lorsban works great if you spray the perimeter of your house. Gotta have an applicator license to buy it though and keep all pets inside for a couple days after you spray

Having a Hitchcockesque swarm in Mandeville. Turning off Jackson into 190
Scary stuff. I'm sitting in the driveway in my truck with the lights out afraid to get out
Note to self, get dog some breath treats!

Bruh, Talstar is better, keeps them skeeters away too!

It’s a shame you can’t just run some pipe or tubing with holes in it underground, around your house, and just hookup to it every so often and pump the solution through it.

I just got swarmed by those fricks. Worst I’ve seen in a few years.

My package of taurus sc just came in today. I ordered it two days ago. And shipping was free. See my earlier post on page 3 I think...that's where I ordered from.

I was thinking about this...at least for the sections under my concrete. I don't want to drill 30 plus holes...

Taurus SC works great. It's what we use and it does the job very well. I will be so glad when swarmer season is over. They've been terrible in Mobile this week. I've spent most of my week going on calls for swarmers.

I don't drill holes in the concrete. I will see their trail if they try to get up through the cracks by the slab. I do trench the entire house with a pick axe, and wind up pouring about 1.5 times what it calls for. I spray and pour all over the joints between the slabs to try to soak it in those locations, too. Also, just do it more often instead of waiting the 10 maximum years between treatments.

I don't see why you couldn't do that with some cheap landscape irrigation kit from like home Depot. You would only need a few hundred feet.
500' of 1/2" irrigation tubing is only like $50. You could probably do it for a couple hundred with all the fittings.
I have no idea how good it would work though or how you would measure the treatment to see when to turn it off.
Any landscape people in here?

This is pretty genius. Maybe hook the hose up to a large tank with the mixture in it and let it ooze out for a day or so.
I may try this when it’s time to retreat.

I would say you have a problem. The swarmers all have wings and if a few get through the cracks your windows and doors during a yearly swarm it's not a big deal, nor a sign of infestation. However if you find hundreds of swarmers in your house or if you find the workers in your house (wingless with more of pale yellow color) then you likely have an infestation. And they have already caused damage if you are seeing evidence of them inside your home. Worst thing you could do is ignore it.
I don't work in pest control, just this is how I discovered my termite infestation 2 years ago in NOLA.
