I just saw a commercial for the new Titan and I must say it looks pretty sweet.

I just traded in a 2015 F-150 for a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport. I wanted a smaller truck with a tighter turning radius and less footprint. I have a limited space for parking. My Ford even though it was an XLT, did not have a back up camera and they did not offer an option to put one. I found that it was too much truck for what little towing I do during the year. Tacoma is nice, technology surpasses the Ford. I find that the transmission is busy shifting since it's geared for gas mileage. I had the 5.0 with the Ford and got comparable mileage. 22mpg with both on highway. The 5.0 was way more powerful but like I said, more truck than I needed. Far less storage with the back seats folded up in the Taco. Just something I'll have to deal with. No regrets so far. I've had it a month and have 2k on the odo already.

The 2017 Ford XLTs have a backup camera.

To the OP, the biggest difference with these trucks is the size as the Tacoma is much smaller.

If you have one you need to get the TRD shift knob. No idea why they don't come standard.

I have had both, I am 6 '2", riding in the Tacoma was like sitting on my living room floor with my legs straight out in front of me flat on the floor, any trip over an hour was miserable. The F150 is like sitting on the sofa in my living room, 8 hour or more trips or now done in comfort.

no reason to buy a tacoma over the f150. tacoma ride like shite and arent comfortable at all. less room and no gas mileage advantage.

So not sloppy and numb? They're sport trucks, meant for the trail or anything requiring deliberateness. Every time I hear 'rides like shite' I think this person likes a vehicle that handles like shite.

might explore that option these were only 2 I've looked at so far....suprisingly the f150 was cheaper with XLT vs SR5

I just have no idea why you would buy a new $40k plus truck when a used one will last you a lifetime. Save the 30k and buy you an extra 10 acres.

Or is this one of those subtle brag, douchevag threads.

Unless you are cruising 65 on the highway that's bullshite. The Tacoma will get quite a bit better mileage in town. When mine was stock I got 17 driving 100% in town, in the snow, with it in four wheel drive.
