2016 Ford Focus RS

As none of you know, I've searching for a new car for about a year now. I've narrowed the search to the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250, VW Golf GTI, and out of left field the Volvo V60. Now I've learned that for about the same price, I could get a 2016 Ford Focus RS. 345hp from a turbo 2.3L I-4 engine and all-wheel drive! OT's thoughts?

The Focus RS is supposed to be bad arse. Even comes with a drift mode. I like the V60 with the Polestar goodies but the lack of manual transmission is a deal killer.

The focus is insane, wonderful, awesome. But it's a sausage magnet. Me and about 5% of other people you encounter will know why your Focus has a big wing on it. If that's okay with you, go for it (in another life I'd be on the waiting list for it). The CLA is a poseur piece of shite, unless it's the 45. A Golf R is probably worth looking at - the GTI is very good but the R is the competitor for the Focus RS - as is a CPO Audi S3. If you're not stuck on brand new, there are great deals on year-old BMW 3 series: the 335 is as fast as you'd ever want but even the 328 is legitimately quick.
