A season long hurricane thread bumped everytime there is a remote development causing people to have to wade though pages of crap is the most retarded thing I have witnessed on the OT since it's existence.

I'm not a fan...
That said, if something develops out of this, then it will get it's own thread. Named storms that threaten the Gulf Coast will not be buried in here.

91L is probably close to needing a dedicated thread based on the flooding potential. However, impacts to Louisiana look minimal at this time with the possibility of additional Red River flooding down the road. It is now part of my Constitution to not start threads on the OT

Well, given the amount of admins that are in Texas, we will certainly have a dedicated thread for it!
Can't wait to see how much rain this brings us here in Austin.

This system could prove to be devastating to TD.com leadership .. this could become a lawless society in here .. What will this place look like in a week ??!!

i am sure many are warming up their $25,000 generator systems that they bought after Gustav that they haven't had to touch in almost 7 years in BR ..

I'm tracking but the models need more information atm. Hurricane hunters supposed to leave this afternoon according to what I just read. Looks like a big mess heading to central TX coast imo but these things do what they want.

We bought a camper after Gustav. We use it to camp but I admit at least 15% was the allure of plugging in the generator and living in leisure.

Thank you for being a dedicated tractor.

I'd rather plunk that kind of cheese down on a fifth wheeler vs. just a generator .. that's for sure ..

Shenandoah checking in. Can someone please tell me if there is a hurricane heading here, and if I need to go start up my generator. I think I have the same gas in it since Gustav.

Did you ever take the Plylox shutters off of your windows after Gustav ? If not, just leave them up .. this baby could be packing Cat 3 gusts ..

Is there any dry air to be concerned about?
