This, if voltage is dropping too low while cranking the PCU will reset instead of going into start mode. Try jumper cables from another car, if it starts check battery cables/connections/ replace battery.

So I got home and on a whim turned the ignition and after about 20 seconds of laying on it the truck started. There was a huge plume of white, which I assume was from the Starting Fluid I sprayed last night.
I turned it off and let it sit for about an hour and came back and it started right up with no smoke.
At this point I have no clue what's going on.

I ended up taking it to the shop because it was still baffling me. The throttle position sensor is bad and is allowing for the proper mixture. They also said I need a complete tuneup and am having some misfires. So $315 for the throttle and $720 for the tuneup.
I'm thinking about just repairing the throttle to get me running and then trading it in with my wifes car after the holidays, since she has been after me for awhile. I just see putting $1000 into a third-car with 220k miles on it, when the fuel injectors or something else stupid could go out tomorrow.

I have recently replaced a throttle position sensor on a Ford 3.0.
It appears Ford put Loctite on the screws as they go through the TPS.
You will likely have to break off the old one then turn the screws.
It also is possible to incorrectly install a TPS.
