100 series here as well

I got excited about the new Sequoia. This morning I cranked up my ‘06 in 10 degree weather and realized how dumb it would be to drop $70k on a new vehicle.

If the AHC is rusted or you have a lot of additional weight, I get replacing it. But if that’s not the case, fixing it is worthwhile and the parts are fairly easy to acquire now. Did you balance all the pressures with Techstream?

It's a RX300, 4door hatchback.....I mean after oil checkup and AutoZone diagnosis, what else? New tires on it, inspected thru 7/22.....$3500 good?

The thread has had a lot of drift but if it is mechanically sound it is a great choice for your use case. Parts also are cheap and easily available the biggest issue is labor associated with the headaches resulting from a transverse-mounted engine but that is par for the course in the majority of FWD-based vehicles these days.

500k if you maintain it. Just watch the globes on the AHC and keep the timing belt done.

Yep. One of the best engines made. Sure does drink gas.

Got my son an 09 ES350 with 145,000 miles on it after he wrecked his 2010 ES350 with 120,000 miles. Four months and $7000 later had to put a new engine in it.
