Checks out, you give away anything for free in BR and they will come.

Dr. Catherine O'Neal with OLOL says that just under 200 people were tested for #COVID19 at the new drive-thru testing center opened at BR General's Mid City campus today.
126 were told to pull forward

Don't you need a doctors recommendation to get tested based on symptoms?

How many had to back up past the post then pull back forward to reset the timer?

Yes that’s the shocking part

Remember posting that fake news earlier this week? Good times.

Good. At least we are streamlining the testing.

Was it really? I mean we’re pretty much on lockdown right?

It’s pent up demand. There are lots of people who could be tested that haven’t been able to until now. What will be interesting to watch is how long the demand stays at this level.

BR General's Mid City campus. Tests will only be administered to those with an order from a healthcare provider. @MayorBroome indicates test results take 3-4 business days to return.
3-4 business days? We can’t find anyone to work weekends Madame Mayor?

How different is that from the time it takes to get blood results back?

You missed the point. This isn’t normal bloodwork so it may take 3-4 days, but it shouldn’t take 3-4 BUSINESS days. Do you see?

Nursing home where I work can order routine labs for the am and the results are typically back by 10/11 am. Draw time is typically 530/600.
But this is nowhere routine.

quote:That’s impossible. Tboy told us last night (in his thread that has since been whacked) that he spoke to someone high up in a Baton Rouge hospital who told him there are no COVID-19 tests available in Baton Rouge and there weren’t going to be any tests available here for weeks.

That other thread told us that 2/3 of the tests have been negative. Does that mean we should expect 85 of those to be positive today?
