At least you would be safer.

Wait until the interstate work starts.

Two wrecks crippled Baton Rouge and they want to shut the interstate down to one lane for a few years. Our government is so smart.

I thought you lived in Mississippi or Alabama. What were you doing in BR?
Giving them design plans for the wall?

Government was about to imminent domain the hell out of some houses AND widen the interstate for a tenth of the current price, but it happened during the George Floyd situation and they backed out from political fear. Hate to see it.

Forgo the 2-piece spicy at the Sherwood exit and you’d make it thru in one hour

So Baton Rouge has a loop. You just have to take strange 2 lane residential roads, stop at several stoplights, and get stuck at a railroad crossing.
Depending on your route, 90 is better to get to Lafayette. 70-75% is interstate grade. Last light out of metro New Orleans is in Des Allemands. It is interstate grade between Raceland and Morgan City. Bayou Vista/Patterson has another section of lights, but DOTD j turned most of the intersections to limit the lights. Between there and Lafayette, most of the route is limited access except for the urban area in Lafayette, and in Scott where they went J turn crazy.
It has been almost 25 years since 90 was finally 4 laned. The section between Gray and Morgan City was completed in the late 1990’s. It has been designated to extend I49 to New Orleans on this route. By the time the state gets off its arse to finally finish it, it will be another 25 years. I will almost be 70 when that happens.

Waze is part of the loop lobby.

This should be your first option even in good days.

You drove over the new bridge when you could’ve detoured to the old bridge at lobdell

It was weird last night on WBRZ. Michael Shingleton, who's usually laid-back, was losing his shite saying people in BR shouldn't complain about 90 mins of traffic to get to Livingston Parish when Dallas has 4-hour commutes. Scratching my head, we are now comparing BR to Dallas? wtf

2hours and 31 minutes from denton to waxahachie one day.
