You're being obtuse.

Not everyone assumes it was a racist somebody. Based on the report, only race baiters can believe that at this point. And race baiters don't believe black people can be racist.

Can we discuss race relations on a patio with beverages?

That is certainly one angle...

I’ve received a speeding ticket before. Funny thing was...I was actually speeding. I knew it before I got pulled over. So yeah...I would rationalize that decision by a cop as well.

Imagine you were tasked with detaining 2 people who you have no idea how they will respond...would you like a bit of help?

a "bit" would have been another officer, maybe 2, for backup... after all, you ARE armed, as well... you really NEED 8 officers for 2 perps, both of whom were unarmed?

the mental gymnastics that has to go on to defend police actions, especially when it's CLEARLY incorrect, is astounding sometimes....

look, the guys refusing to leave, after being asked to, seeing as they were NOT paying customers, means they absolutely are in the wrong in this situation, and if it needed police intervention, then so be it... but 8 policemen to remove 2 guys.... that's just unnecessary and excessive... and stupid...

Why does it matter how many cops were were there?

It doesn't, unless you're talking about 20 cops or some incredible number.

That doesn't really answer my question. Police were probably in the area and came to the scene because nothing else was going on. I highly doubt there was a murder going on elsewhere and they were like "can't make it, we need 8 cops to escort these guys out."

If the black guys would of got violent and force was necessary because only two cops wer present, you would be complaining that if only more cops would have showed up that level of force wouldn’t have been necessary. That’s the problem with people like you. Always complain about something.

Please elaborate on this. Include monetary figures, shift #s of officers available, etc.

2.) optics

I imagine the eight cops coming in to get rid of these two idiots was a welcome sight to the staff and paying customers.

Incidents like this occur hundreds of times a day and are never brought to the national scene. Someone just saw an opportunity to throw out the race card

I imagine space is more at a premium at a high volume coffee shop in Philadelphia than in Central or wherever you live.

Jesus you’re a fricking retard. It’s Philadelphia. Do you actually think these cops don’t deal with minorities solo every day? There is no standard procedure for how much back up can come to a scene. Cops back each other up without being summonsed. In a city as big as Philly, it’s hoghly likely all of those cops were bored and in the area. Not to mention, cops don’t fight fair, because they aren’t allowed to lose.

Go be a dumbass somewhere else

This. Cops will roll three or four deep to noise complaints when it’s slow and they’re bored. Numbers mean nothing.

The cops only do as the property owner wishes. It’s not their call to make if the owner/manager wants those two gone.

This is probably the most retarded anti cop story in recent times. And that comment is coming from a supposed big time private property defender

Yep, I'm accused of being a "cop hater" here but this is a no story.
