John Young went from making 911 calls on Sterling to making calls from Starbucks.

LOL at even hinting that race was not in play here.
It wasn't.

Because I don’t know the name of the two guys and they are described in the subject as 2 black guys.
so just say 2 guys... you are the one perpetuating the race angle, when it REALLY doesn't need to be... those 2 dudes were wrong, regardless of what color they were... nor does my position change in spite of that fact...

Why do people keep repeating this like it’s some kind of justification?
Philly PD did nothing wrong. Starbucks is going to end up paying, especially if witness reports are correct on the sequence of events.
LINK
Effectively:
1) Two individuals walk in, and one asks for the bathroom code without ordering anything
2) Employee (correctly - per their policy) states that the restrooms are for paying customers only.
3) Two individuals then go sit down and hang out, waiting for the friend to show up - the friend who was intended on paying for coffee for the three individuals
4) Without going to talk to the two individuals, the manager calls the police
5) Police show up and (correctly, given the information they know) execute removing the trespassing individuals.
6) Around this time, the friend actually does show up, meaning it can be proven that the three were intending to be true customers - just the person who was footing the bill hadn't shown up yet.
Step 4 should have just been asking the two if they planned on getting anything in their time here. If yes - no big deal, if no - then politely ask them to leave. It's not clear that "we're waiting for someone before we order" ever got to the Starbucks employees - which was the key piece of information to determine trespassing/no trespassing.
Only escalate to calling the police if necessary.
ABOVE ALL - MAKE SURE OTHER CUSTOMERS CAN HEAR YOU TRY TO REASON WITH THE ALLEGED PERPS BEFORE GETTING THE LAW INVOLVED - YOU WANT THE WITNESSES ON YOUR SIDE FOR ANY CIVIL COURT CASE!!!
If you are the owner of that franchise you have to know that the people sitting in that coffee house for 3 hours on their MacBook Pros are probably more sympathetic to liberal causes (such as black lives matter) than the general population - and will testify against you in civil or criminal court as well as put forth statements to the media, unless you can make it really clear to them that an actual crime is occurring.

Imagine that 8 Donut Eaters show up at Starbucks

They aren't winning shite. It's private property and they were asked to leave.
Even the sympathizers will be much more hesitant to lie or fudge the story under oath

Howard Schulz is personally going to send them a check and some gift cards because he is a bitch.

Just a defensiveness problem. If workers asked anyone else to step outside, they would. Just about making a statement

When you're called because two men are refusing to leave a location you don't need to show up in force. You send a patrol to the location to assess and send backup if it's deemed necessary. Unless the dispatcher was told these guys were threatening people, which there is no evidence of that being the case, 8 cops for two people sitting in a Starbucks is definitely excessive.

Holy moly now the left are all certified police dispatchers.

It's not a good sign when you have to put locks on public bathrooms.

The only law that was definitely broken was the refusal to obey police orders by the 2 commercial real estate investors. Trespassing is also a possibility. The 2 commercial real estate investors seemed intent on making a statement. I find it interesting that they still refuse to be identified. The Starbucks CEO requesting a meeting with them is a smart move. There is no denying this was an ugly incident but it also wouldn’t surprise me if it turns out to have been a staged protest.

Hopefully they contact Mike Cohen for representation....heard he has some open time.

Dont care for Starbucks or their position most of the time but there were not in the wrong with this.
Suspicious people in their store who seemed to be there to start trouble were asked to leave and they wouldn't. If they didnt call the police and the two men did something bad, it would have been on them for not doing something
Was handled correctly

Judging by the video it doesn't appear to be the case

Very hard to make that judgement either way. We only saw them being escorted out.
I am sorry but if you are in a place of business and they come ask you to leave and you dont, you are in the wrong. I dont care about what the situation is. Unless you paid to be there, you are on someone else property and you should leave if asked to leave

Did they seem to be putting up much resistance or acting like asses while they were being escorted out? No
That should give you some indication of the type of people they were
And this video should also serve as a lesson to the people who get their arse kicked and shot by the police. Something that clearly didn't happen here.
