Not intending for this to be a food and/or drink (even though drinks are the focus here) discussion. Just a public awareness for those of you who are always looking for a bargain when it comes to drinking.
Yes, it's Applebee's. And the majority of their food sucks. But if you stick with a grilled chicken sandwich or hamburger, even the most inept cooks can usually pull this type of meal off. Plus your taste buds become shot after a few drinks.

Applebee’s is a happening place for quick casual food. I’ll probably go today and get a plate of nachos and some beers for lunch.

Applebee's is legit when you are working on a pipeline job 1,000 miles from home and it's right next door to the hotel you are staying at which means no driving (just an easy walk to and from the room). As you mentioned, it is really hard to frick up grilled chicken.
Ruby Tuesday was on the other side and they are legit too.
