There are cops in the parking lot there 24/7.

I don’t think the KMart or Toys R Us lots are big enough for a Costco. Esplanade mall would be but I’m quite sure they don’t want to be all the way out there.

How mentally ill do you need to be to type this out and press submit? I barely even grasp the idiotic point you’re trying to make

TRU is leased.

Kmart is in litigation. The leftover corporate overlords of Kmart are still paying $1 mil in rent annually while the box sits dark. Matt Bowers bought it and they are trying to force him to buy them out of the lease.

Esplanade site is a challenge. Target is already built there.

Not surprising. I imagine the child didn't have a seatbelt on either or restrained in a car seat.

Definitely. They have to sell a lotta cheap gas to pay for the negligent security claims/lawsuit settlements. They’ve been on notice due to the prior criminal incidents on the same premises, and a couple of them have been especially brutal injuries. I don’t see how or why they’d want to keep operating in that location.

Well the thugs are attacking and carjacking security people in other areas, so you’d need a small army to ensure safety.

They probably could have had a shot at Clearview right after Sears went under; may not be too late depending on the contracts in place w their future plans.

Another option may be Kmart in Elmwood, has a decent footprint. But been awhile since I’ve been around the Costco to recall how large it is

That poor child, my goodness. My heart breaks for these innocent kids, this is ridiculous.

Nola is a big problem for major chains. I remember when I was in business school, the CEO of Home Depot came to speak to our class.

He mentioned that one of the big challenges they deal with is shrinkage/stealing. He went on to say (unsolicited) that the Nola store is the number one shoplifted Home Depot in America.

Everyone in the class looked over at me. Lol. Awful but not surprising.

New construction is well under way on that side of the Clearview Mall for the stuff moving there

If they're smart, they'll use bank drive up technology... Bullet proof glass & deal drawers...
