There is some chatter in the comments on the Conservative Treehouse site that some of the autopsy reports are in and someone is in custody.

I'm guessing with the FBI being involved and test results coming back(if that's true), things will start moving now.
It is very strange to me that people in such a small town can keep secrets like this if it's a local.
Of course the police could know much more than we assume and as others have suggested, they might be doing the right thing and letting the evidence build up while they make the case.

Courtland may only have 800 people, but there are some populated areas around it. Memphis is about an hour away. Batesville is 5 minutes away, and Oxford is 30 minutes away.
It's a small town, but it's not in the middle of nowhere.
ETA: Grenada appears to be about a 30 minute drive as well.

After what happened to Jessica Chambers, I can definitely understand someone being reluctant to talk.
