Not smart. I'm as anti-shutdown as it gets, but I wouldn't have attended such a party even for family members. It is just asking for it. Keep it outdoors and/or keep some distance.

Real story here:

Average person is dumb as shite.
Person gets sick during pandemic and attends party, thinks nothing of it. Surprised others are now sick.

Same could be said during flu season.

But the old and the vulnerable are making the rules, not the 30 year olds.

Were all 10 of them tested before hand? Could they have been asymptomatic all along and this is just more hype to keep the masses in fear and divided?

I would hardly call it a hoax. Just saw a family member on the noon news talking about it- his dad is dying and his mom is very ill. He did say everyone else seemed to be recovering.

Please don't take this the wrong way because I do have a lot of sympathy for these elderly folks and their children, but these people are either in their 90s or very close to it. The world can't stop spinning for them.

My takeaway from all of this is that there should have been no shut down for most of the population.

The elderly and immune compromised should have been encouraged to stay home. If they have jobs, those jobs would be required to let them stay home without fear of repurcussions. Also, if the job couldn't continue to pay them, then the govt could step in and give them some type of temporary assistance.

Definitely would have avoided a lot of the mess we're in.

Unless the mess we're in was by design. Election year and the establishment doesnt like Trump.

Go to Google and type in any 3 numbers + new cases and see what happens.

Hopefully they’ll use this as a lesson not to vote for trump!
