Hey there...Jolly and Beignet say hello to Butters.

No kids here, but I have a niece and I plan on at least telling her she's in line for a great inheritance to keep her at my aging side.

Bottom line, if you don't want kids, don't have them.

If pecker had kids think of all the tough questions they would ask him

Like “why does mommy have these black guys over every night?”

No they don't.

For most people, yes. For others, no.

I have some inlaws who refuse to have children and are going to be alone their entire elderly lives. I just don't see how that's appealing.

It’s something you could just never understand until you’ve experienced it. The pure joy of never having to have a fricking kid.

Having children isn't for everyone and I respect people's decision to be child-free if they wish. But people who are child-free also need to realize that some of the things they list as reasons they like to be child-free, some parents actually enjoy.

I love my child and am thrilled I get the opportunity to be a mother.

I still have time to myself and get to travel. My kid is 14 months and has already been on vacation to Houston, Sarasota, Knoxville and Vegas. This summer he also gets to spend time in South Dakota, Montana and North Dakota.

Yes, I can't go out drinking at the bar until 2 am anymore, but I didn't do that prior to having a child either. Most breweries allow children, so you can still go out and have drink and have fun. Just invite your friends that have children, let the kids play and enjoy a beer or two. You just have to be responsible and not drive drunk, which child-free people shouldn't be doing anyways.

Grandparent love to babysit, at least my inlaws do. My MIL would watch him every single weekend if we let her. So still get plenty of date nights and happy hours in.

Even if you do have kids and/or grandkids, they may visit you a couple times per year at holidays.

So that's the key to all of those existential mysteries.

See...it’s not people not wanting to have kids that is the real issue. There have always been those people. (We called them witches).

It’s the fact that, for a society, the widespread ideal of “don’t have kids, spoil yourself, they’ll only get in the way” is a death sentence long term.

Some people won’t be able to have kids sadly (and often it is those that want them most). Some people have life styles just not conducive to parenting.

I’m not trying to denigrate the individual here, i’m Pointing out that as a societal idea it’s disturbing.

You (using the Royal you here) can choose to expand and enrich your “tribe”, as it were. Or you don’t. And if enough of you don’t, then another tribe that has no issue with breeding profusely will come along, surround you, extract your resources and eventually render your tribe null and void.

It’s happened throughout history.

Be conquerers or be conquered.

Call it cheesy if you wish, really don't care -

I feel genuinely sorry for people that don't get to (or want to) experience the overwhelming love you feel for your own children.

I'd sacrifice every dog I've ever owned to have my son back.

Yeah I don’t see myself as part of any “tribe”. Again this isn’t 5,000 BC.

Man my heart truly hurts for what you are going through. I know nothing can fill the hole, but hopefully you have other children or will be able to have more in the future to give that love to.

Keep on making it one day at a time and know that if you ever need anything, or just someone to vent to, you can reach out to me.

Except I have technology.

Either I die before it happens or we get life extension and I run a crusade on their children

It’s completely empty.

Most middle class people from the 80s-00s are so in love with themselves that they are decimating the birth rate and leaving the poor and lower IQ to take over.

It’s the plot of Idiocracy.
