Most normal people don’t bother making the distinction. Langley is closer to Dulles international airport than the actual capital is.

It's a test for the lad, see if he can Google Search directions for "CIA Headquarters".

If there were more decent kids that joined them, maybe the culture could be changed. We need more patriots inside the CIA and FBI (there are already some there, not all of them are like Brennan and Comey were).

They have been operating without any oversight since the beginning in the 50s. Now that they have alternate forms of income they literally need congress for nothing. They have been altering regimes all over the world for their own (at best) benefit. Are the rank and file CIA agents bad? Probably not, but the higher level CIA agents are operating their own operations outside of congressional oversight for their own (at best) interest. The history of it has been there for 70 years.

They got their arse kicked through the whole cold war. At best they are incompetent. At worst they are the military arm for the global money behind the scenes that pull the strings on a global scale.

Well Langley isn’t exactly a tourist destination, so I’m not sure why normal people would talk about visiting Langley as if it’s in DC.

It doesn't worry you that head of the CIA HW Bush becomes president. His son follows. During his son's presidency the patriot act "which allows all communication in the country to be recorded" is put in place and 2 wars are started at the same time? I'm not saying the CIA did 9/11 but they sure all hell made themselves a lot more important because of it.

Back in the late 60s my oldest brother interviewed for a job as a physicist with the Naval Weapons Lab in Dahlgren, Va., and several government officials came to our hometown to research “things” and speak to certain people. He got the job and worked on secret projects during his career.

That is awesome. Congratulations. I am sure he can expect a lot of hard work and information flowing out of a fire hose.

Bush was director of the CIA for a little less than a year under Gerald Ford. Carter appointed Stansfield Turneron Inauguration Day, 1977.
Bush was elected president in 1988 after serving as Ronald Reagan's VP.
His son, George W., was elected president in 2000 and the 9/11 attacks occurred less than 8 months after his Inauguration Day.

So, no, it doesn't concern me that the son of a past (one term) president and chair warmer for less than a year at CIA was elected 24 years after his father left his directorship at CIA. If George HW was pulling the strings, he was in it for the long con.
