Yeah, some of us weren't diddled by your uncle Elmer when we were 9.

Why is someone being charged for this? Granted I only skimmed the OP, but it seems like girl fakes her death, boy is sad and kills himself. Why should someone be held responsible and punished?

This is really sad. Spend time with your kids and keep them off of social media, y'all.

or maybe you allow them interact with their friends like normal people while discussing with them the impact that social media can have on others

I don't totally disagree with you. Some children are more trustworthy and savvy, others are not so much. I do think 11 is a bit young to be unsupervised on the Internet.

This girl did a horrible thing but I'm not seeing where the criminal charges could be coming from here. This doesn't sound like it falls under any definition of cyber-bullying I've seen. Based on the article posted, there's no directed insult, no call to action upon the victim, no supposed "suicide pact" or anything like that. It's just a sick joke gone bad.

Horrible situation but I'm always wary of expansive readings of any laws limiting free speech.

The fact that an 11-year old successfully hung himself on his first attempt is quite an accomplishment. He must have had a strong rope and something readily available to hang from.

Nothing wrong with them being on social media, just be able to talk to them about anything

Her friends went along with it. Going on multiple social media sites to fake her suicide. Prob to get at the kid. Kid kills himself.

I'm sure if a persons son hung himself because a bunch of girls were fricking with him. They would be singing a diff tune.

quote:

hanging by the neck March 14 in his room after seeing social media posts and texts that his 13-year-old girlfriend had killed herself.

Goss said the girl and some of her friends orchestrated the prank. It was not clear who faces charges. "She had pranked her own death," Goss, 41, said of her son's girlfriend. "I don't know what possessed her to do such a weird prank.

They kept him alive for like a week I believe. He lost too much oxygen. Was just going to be a vegetable.

Why would these young girls joke about this?

Should her parents feel just as guilty?

Somehow I doubt a little bitch who is already conceving shite like this when she is 13 is going to be torn u by remorse.

I would be more inclined to believe she murders a boyfriend/husband by the time she is 30.
