Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson don’t belong. List is too Western.

Honestly Martin Luther needs a spot on that top 10.
He was probably more influential than Napoleon.

TulaneLSU. His contemporaneous accounts of life in the era will be invaluable to the historic record

Well, if he is indeed the Messiah and the only begotten son of God, 1/3rd of the Holy Trinity, the there is no hopefully about (FTR, I believe he is).

When I was a kid in the sixties,we were supposed to be living like the Jetsons by now.

Surprisingly enough we have not evolved very far from then and fifty years from now we probably won't be much further other than more artificial intelligence and such,if we still exist.I won't be here to see it though.

I would take a ban bet right now that the earth won't exist in 1,000 years.Book mark this and ban me in 3020.

Or meet me at the Sonic on Mars.

Didn’t you see that made for TV movie? Bill Gates stole windows from Steve jobs. He should be on the list. And most certainly Benjamin Franklin

I would expect Napoleon, Shakespeare, Lincoln, and Hitler to fall out of the top ten for sure.

In 1000 years Shakespeare might be unintelligible even to English speakers (just try to read Old English). Hitler will be just another historical villain and won't be any more important than Genghis Khan. The American Civil War will be a footnote. I'm not sure I would put Napoleon in the top ten now, much less in 1000 years.

Jesus, Muhammed, Washington, and Jefferson are good candidates to remain in the top ten. Washington and Jefferson ended hereditary rule in the modern era. Jesus and Muhammed founded major world religions that have covered a large part of the world for centuries. The world would be unrecognizable without them.

Aristotle is a founding father of Western civilization. Even with the world being radically different in 1000 years he's still influential over a long time period.

Alexander the Great probably drops out - conqueror from a long time ago.

We'll obviously have entries who haven't been born yet. We'll also see the list be less heavy on Western figures - Western civilization will decline thanks to decadence and apathy.

Unfortunately Obama will be one of the most recognized names from our era. Revision of history will be huge because he is half black.

Obama will be a complete afterthought by then. The first half white President of the USA just won’t be a big deal by that time. I mean his mixed race is the only reason some borderline worshiped him anyway to be honest because it surely wasn’t for the good he did for his country.

My bday brother should actually get more love than he does. Or hate depending on how you look at it.

Alexander Flemming. Penicillin. That dude is responsible for the human race to live long enough to even die from coronavirus.

Hitler was the most destructive person in all of human history, I don’t see him falling off.

Which is why Aristotle would fall out.

Hitler might stay, though. Just bc of the Holocaust
