Is this a world list or an American list? I mean there’s no way Abe Lincoln or George Washington were 10 of the most important people in history. Thomas Jefferson is debatable, but if the 3 he’s the only one I can agree with.

6. George Washington

Because acknowledgement of Paul as the spear that got Christianity out of the Levant reduces Peter and more importantly Jesus.

Sir Isaac Newton not on the list?! His work is the foundation of damn near every modern invention.
Lincoln? He just happened to be President when that tinderbox went off. He did take a giant crap on the Constitution and Federalize the country. Slavery would have been abolished with or without him at some point as it was throughout the World.

A lot of world events change without a United States or if it successfully divides.
Thomas Jefferson along with Napoleon seal the deal for eventual power shift out of Europe.
Between the three of them is a lot of political precedent.

In 1,000 years, no one on your list will be on the contemporary list.

Paul was just a cog in the machine that includes Roman Emperors, popes and kings that were responsible for spreading the message of Jesus. The salesman is rarely as important as the inventor.

quote:seems pretty stupid but none of that list even matters except #1. Ironically, that name is only a few hundreds years old.
2. Napoleon
3. Muhammad

The list was top 100. He made it, just not top 10.

Wasn't Aristotle wrong about just about everything he did?
If you want to know the real answer, I highly recommend reading Thomas Kuhn's The Structure of Scientific Revolutions.
