Sounds like you raised a future democrat. Buy him a face diaper and register him for the 2028 elections????

Guess your wife took some pity on you letting one of the kids be yours.

Maybe, and I’m just spitballing here, let the behavioral therapist make that decision.
But seriously, it couldn’t hurt to go.

You are the one crying

When you are older and your son chooses to not be part of your life don’t blame it on him.

Not these days they won’t.
His peers will probably give him the card to their own therapist because for whatever fricking reason nowadays a shitload of parents think their kids need to see a therapist.

I'd listen to this baw. Sounds like he has experience with this.
This f'n place is a shark cage.

Ignore it. Make it so he gets no attention for the crying, positive or negative. Tell him to take a few deep breaths and get on with things. He may just naturally be a crier, or he may enjoy even negative attention from it.

Ignore it is probably the best. Giving it attention in anyway makes it worse.
My 7 year old daughter is extremely emotional. It took a while to figure out some of the reasons why she is that way and we are working on ways to correct it. She is somewhat like an ADD kid but she's OCD as shite, which translates to everything she does is hyper focused on that single task and being the best at it. If she fails she gets emotional. Teaching her you have to lose and fail in order to learn.
She hasn't had a chance to lose often because she takes that hyper focus and works so damn hard at everything she is usually one of the best at it.
1 boy in her class was faster than her. I shite you not she ran suicides in the yard until she beat this kid in a race. I'm talking about 2-3 times a week for 3-4 months, all on her own.

Ummm my oldest nephew is on the spectrum and is cool AF - idk why you think autism makes people unawesome ?
OT opinions are suggesting that you get your son into therapy- i honestly think you need a couple hundred sessions yourself - you got issues my friend

Behavioral therapist who specialized in working with kids/teens on the spectrum here..... imo, your kid sounds like he's on the spectrum. It seems to me he's struggling with some OCD and perfectionism that often presents with kids on the spectrum and inability to regulate emotions. FWIW, this is also seen sometimes in ADHD. As many people on here have said, behavioral therapy may prove helpful especially if they can incorporate some self-managment techniques. All the best
