That post was about 3 paragraphs too long. Not sure why people can’t tell stories without meandering around every detail like the mother of boy #1 having to miss work.

Apparently you didn't read the whole story. They weren't playing dodgeball.

Click on the link in the OP. Read the title of the article. Come back and tell me what you just read.

It’s literally in her title of the story. How did you miss it?

I'm literally talking about the story "getcocky" posted.

I literally said the kid with that condition shouldn't be playing a game where it's common to get hit in the face.

Has anyone been able to find what it is? I googled and can't find it based on "chronic brain stem infliction"

Tell me if you trust the media. Now tell me if you'd post an outrageous story - even saying it should be an Onion article - without checking any of the facts. The whole story is based on a GoFundMe plea for Christ's sake.

They weren't playing dodgeball, they were playing a game with a dodgeball, that did not consist of them throwing the ball at each other.

Depends how many times it has been an issue. It's a bit extreme, sure, but it could be a totality of events kind of thing.

Well I guess we should just stop quoting any news story now if they’ve got to the point where they’d just make up something as stupid as a kid being hit in the head during a dodgeball game.

Sounds like Cameishi refused to be a parent to her child and let him beat up on a kid with a medical condition.

They weren't playing dodgeball and the kid with the medical condition wound up with a grade 2 concussion from a ball being thrown at his face from a few feet away, all over the kid with the shitty parent losing a game.

I think the point is to not make any dumb grand declarations like "our country is so fricked" based off 1 article with half the story missing

They didn't make anything up, they just "reported" on a viral FB post that clearly only told one side of the story.

Common sense says schools don't usually let kids with brain stem conditions play dodgeball. It also says DAs don't go around charging 10 y/o kids for innocent fun. It also would tell you GoFundMe pleas are notoriously loose on the facts.

He's probably right, just for the wrong reasons in this case.

If we are not supposed to believe anything we read, how do you know they weren’t playing dodgeball?

Sounds like boy#2's mom needs to get in the face with a ball. She is the problem.

It's not about not believing what you read. It's about getting all of the info before making idiotic claims.

I read both sides of the story.
