Hybrids are most likely to catch fire, but EVs are about 50x less likely to catch fire than a gas vehicle.

Not any. I am comparing my ICE F-150 to the EV Lightning which I think is a fair comparison.

Right but the post I replied to when I said I doubt it was "any reliable ICE"

That 0-60 is impressive. Can the Tesla corner and how bad will the brakes fade with a couple 100-0 hard stops?

It's a 4 door sedan, so not that great. It's exit torque is balls to the wall though. The brakes are Meh and fade a good bit, but with the regen cranked up to max it still stops very well and there's zero regen fade.

But the gas burner can refill the tank in 3-4 minutes.

0-60 is overrated.
I drove one of the "lower" Tesla models a few months ago. There was nothing overrated about 0-60 in 4 seconds--that thing was frigging awesome. I smoked late model Corvette and Mustangs pulling off from red lights.

Biggest thing was its ability to go from 60-120. I'd be riding beside somebody and see an opening. The car would launch itself through the hole and out the other side. With the independent 4 wheel traction, I always felt in control. I've driven just about every kind and size of vehicle, and that Tesla was hands down my favorite. At least in terms of performance. Range was a different story, and I could see how that would be an issue for some folks. But, I would challenge any car guy to try and drive a Tesla without a smile.

This right here.

Going 50 or 60 and just slamming the "gas" down is always the most impressive part of a Tesla for me.

Yeah then next let's load up the family and hit the grocery store.

Hilarious that some folks are so butthurt over the fact that EVs are better in almost every way that they focus on the one thing that isn't quite up to par yet. Nevermind that since the overwhelming majority of charging happens at home and takes almost zero time so EV owners spend cumulatively less time per mile driven at a station of some kind.

The title should be changed to "10 very fast suicide machines that are slower than the Tesla S Plaid."

Tesla probably beats them by a helluva lot more there than acceleration

Haha, fuel range on hyper-cars. Some of these guys here.

You are correct. Not looking them all up, but the Veyron (a more subtle hyper-car) was under 300 miles of range.

The Model S Plaid is
Combined - 348 mi (560 km)
City - 353.7 mi (569.1 km)
Highway - 341 mi (548.7 km)

I doubt anyone of those is getting 348 miles to a tank.

I'm going Lucid Air...lose the indiscernible .8 second of 0 to 60 but get the noticable 170 miles of extra range

Hahaha, why do y’all always get so butthurt over anyone who disses evs? I swear you treat it like it’s your religion.

So how long a battery lasts, the cost of replacing said battery, the fact that you can not use fast charging often or you’ll destroy the batteries…. Etc

That is what you would refer to as being “not quite up to par yet”?

Bugatti Chiron Super sport is fastest 0-100 and I think holds max speed record.

All valid concerns as long as people are talking about actually performance and not quoting Twitter.

Bro you just suggested a refueling race for some redemption. Why not an oil change race?

You've got it backwards on who treats it as a religion.

Given that fast charging is a rare occurrence for most, and that fuel cost savings appear to be exceeding the cost of eventual battery replacements, yes that is not quite up to par in that one aspect.
