A 35-year-old Slaughter man died and another person was injured during a shooting Sunday night, Baton Rouge police said.

Andre Guy, La. 67., Slaughter, died after he was shot in the leg following an argument during a basketball game around 7 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Afton Parkway, Baton Rouge police spokesman Sgt. L’Jean McKneely Jr. said in a news release.

The second victim was shot multiple times “in the lower extremities” and is expected to survive, McKneely said.

Both victims went to an area hospital by private vehicle before police arrived.

McKneely said the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.

They must have really wanted Lebron to lose, or win.

When a man asks you to check the basketball, you check the basketball.

Are these the night time basketball games we were told would be the key to ending violence?

Well, as they say, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

I'm going with that is his address but I had to read it a few times to reach that conclusion.

How long is the one guy going to be on the Disabled List? I know they will both hit the rehab hard to get back out there.

They were just being nostalgic, thinking about how the NBA played in the 90s. Bringing out their inner Charles Oakley, John Starks, Anthony Mason & the Pacers’ Davis boys. Those were the days...

I watched 15 min of the 3rd and the two announcers almost went to fisticuffs about something happened 20 yrs ago. Just watching that crap reinforced why I quit watching pro basketball about 35+ yrs ago.

There are actually no rules in this game anymore. Sad, sad, sad bunch of people who participate in this sport.
