I can respect this sentiment after we’ve been lied to for years by our media and the coastal elites that they represent.
But that doesn’t change the fact that vaccines are the right move for most people over 30. And they are being widely rejected by the least educated people among us who are not accustomed to making decisions derived from critical thinking - especially not from datasets they don’t understand or are muddied by our highly biased media.

The people not getting vaccinated are the ones that are to blame. You can blame the government all you want, I blame you.
You can blame all you want, the vaccine was rushed through, is not fully FDA approved and they have no idea what the long term effects are. I ain't taking it and there is nothing you can do about it

Those are fake numbers. I know about 20 people who had the vaccine and got the variant.
Highly unlikely that happens if the true number is .1 percent.

The CDC has advised that the vaccine is like that bad arse dirt bike in the famous classified ad. It's not for kids or pussies.

Those numbers are based on data provided on infections in multiple states.
Yours are anecdotal.

About a billion people across the world have gotten one of the Covid vaccines by now. What % of those billion does your anecdotal observation cover?

So we should either age backwards or get the vaccine. I'll take that into account and weigh my options
I recommend aging backwards if that’s an option for you.

This i know is true and not my argument.
The argument that the Gov cant tell me what to do as they sit in a room unvaccinated with 100 strangers during a pandemic gets to me

Now do those with natural immunity from antibodies.

Covid has been around since February of 2020, maybe longer, I haven't been vaccinated yet I'm still very much alive. Take the jab if you choose, I have no objection, but myself? I'll pass. My body, my choice

You're cherry picking certain areas and trying to use anomalies as proof. When you look at the country as a whole the facts are that less than 2% of vaccinated people have gotten covid nationally. The vaccine works.
Less than 2 percent so far. The virus doesn't spread instantly. The Provincetown thing is important. Everybody there was vaccinated, and Delta ran through all their soirées like it was nothing.
Vaccines work, but perhaps not as well as you think they do.

This is a public safety issue, not a personal freedom issue.
According to your original post, only unvaccinated folks are unsafe, so you’re good. What is your concern? If you believe that everyone getting vaccinated will make this virus go away forever, you’re in for a shock.

I also understand that people not wanting to take a vaccine that works against a pandemic could jeapordize quality of life on this planet, it already has,
Quality of life for who? The >99% of super smart people who are fully vaccinated?
I thought that breakthrough cases were virtually nonexistent?

Polio didn’t go away forever. We just don’t worry about it anymore.

False.

Among other viruses I’m sure.

I got my first shot yesterday but that is a terrible argument. They gave me this entire packet of paper that stated the vaccine is not approved, we don't know the long term effects, etc. Etc.
Equating the covid vaccine with the vaccine panels that people take when they're kids is ridiculous. Just a false equivalency. It's understandable why people don't want the covid vaccine, and for people like you and the government to gaslight them is only going to result in more hesitancy.

Ok. It's a lot less than half the country but theoretically even if it was half and you double .08 percent it's 1.6 percent, whats the difference? 98.4% of vaccinated people still dont get covid.
False.
98.4% may not show symptoms, but the CDC has made it clear that you can still contract and carry the virus, which is why vaccinated individuals are being told to wear masks as well.
Quit acting like whether or not you still get COVID is the only reason people are hesitant about the vaccine. There are plenty of valid reasons beyond the political aspects of our current situation. Government and Health officials can't get their stories straight on the benefit of the vaccine at this point. There are hundreds of thousands of reports of adverse side effects associated with the vaccines. And there's still the simple fact that the survival rate is over 98% easily, and much higher in some age groups.

Other than pending FDA approval…what’s the difference?

I think they’d be in a better position to make an informed decision if they knew why like minded people (who are equally skeptical of our own government and their media puppets) decided to get the vaccine.

Except for the 75% of the gays... so this thing is homophobic? damn... I knew it was a smart virus, but apparently the injection is even smarter. It's taking out the gheys.

How many of them were fully vaccinated? Most were younger men. And that event draws people from all over the country. Although I am sure most of them are accustomed to getting jabbed.
And let’s just say that they were in much closer contact with numerous other people than you would be with your coworkers or with the group you socialize with.
If they all had the shot, they definitely put those vaccines to the test.
