Would we have taken Bowers if he was there?

Obviously Offensive Tackle is a must need but would we have taken Bowers if he fell to us?

I think the raiders would have taken Pennix at 13 but just like everyone else they didn't have the falcons taking Pennix on their bingo card.
Even though Bowers is who I wanted the cupboard it was just so bare at tackle that I can't see them not taking one.

I wanted Bowers. He’s a weapon. We could have got a tackle in the 2nd.

Yes we wouldn’t have been able to pass Bowers up. Loomis would have then had to deal to get back in the 1st or early 2nd for a tackle.

A pretty obvious sign is that almost every pick was fast, the pick was in by the time they were showing highlights of the previous pick.
Then, Bowers goes at 13, Saints are on the clock, and we cut away to a dozen commercials. The Saints were STILL on the clock when we come back, so clearly a couple things were going on:
1) the guy we WANTED was off the board, or it would have been a quick pick.
2) we had a couple guys we LIKED, and I think they were discussed and compared, and probably some consideration of trading down to get one of them later. We either had no takers, or the consensus was if we did trade back, we might miss on all the guys we liked in the first.
