It's what you're implying. Meredith couldn't play last year because of a jacked knee. Out of his control. No one plays in the same season when that happens. And you going apples-to-apples with his and Sneads situation, "if Snead is a bum...."
DWI's and being in the doghouse are definitely things Snead had control over. So you can't really blame some of the fans for not being all that enamored with him as he potentially leaves.

that's wonderful, but i'm still going to stick up for him when he's called a bum and he's proven himself for 2 years in this offense and has been one of the better slot receivers in the entire NFL for us.

Snead was good for us when he wasn’t being a lazy piece of shite and was healthy. He clearly was not the same player last year, even when he finally did get healthy.
Meredith and Snead do different things but if you honestly think Meredith wouldn’t post better numbers then there’s no hope for you. Snead almost had back to back 1,000 yard seasons with Drew Brees. Meredith almost had 1,000 with an absolute bum at QB. Can you imagine what he would in our offense with Drew as his QB?
The point is this, the Saints coaching staff has more confidence in, your terms “bum”, Meredith than your boy Snead and his “hamstring issues”. That should speak volumes. But by all means continue callously defending Snead.

Blowing out your knee=hamstring issues in your eyes. Which is why you equate Meredith to being a bum the same as Snead. The two aren’t similar. Face facts. Snead was a lazy bum last year

Well we will have to see, he has a lot of receptions to split when being a Saint WR. We have this dude MT13, Ted Ginn, Alvin Kamara, Tight Ends 3-4 deep, and maybe a Slot WR yet to be determined.
Bears had Alshon Jeffery who missed 4 games that year had literally a bunch of nobodies after them two. And meredith did a bunch of nothing when Jeffery wasn't in the offense.

Nah, i've gone over the differences. One is an injury a player can battle through and not be 100% and get called a bum for.

Not going to get into the pissing match going on, but I wanted to bring up one thing.
First, I personally agree that it's HIGHLY unlikely we match, but I don't think it's impossible, either.
The tweet says UP TO $10.4M. What are the details? Couldn't it be a minimum type deal full of incentives? I could see us possibly matching that.
Now if it's $10.4M guaranteed (or anything close to it), then yeah, he's gone.
