After being severely under used last year, Kubiak has put the special man to work. So far he's played RB, TE, and FB. Just having him on the field gives our opponents and extra factor to worry about due to his versatility. It's very hard to gameplan for someone who can pretty much do everything.

Even if it's just as a decoy, Taysom has to play this Sunday. Using him in motion, to either shift the defense, or have him lead block like a mad man is going to help us secure the win on Sunday.

He’s the Saints version of Kittle and Juszczyk rolled into one player.

I think Hill and Moreau combined are better, and I think Kubiak knows that as well.

A.T. Perry with his size should be devastating as a blocker and as they adjust to using a bigger player on him, he needs to progress as a true inside threat.

Depends on how bad the injury is/was. He’s not young anymore. If there’s any doubt that he’s at least 75-80% he should sit out. Don’t want to chance aggravating the injury or making it worse. It’s a long season. He needs to be around for the Playoffs.

I’m glad they’ve used him in the manner he’s been used. He can do a lot of things well but nothing great but he’s a weapon with the ball in his hands. I’ve said this for years that this offense would never be elite if he’s forced to play a ton of qb in order to move the ball. But the saints don’t have to have him to win this weekend. He’s a weapon but this offense is rolling because of the oline is mauling everyone. If Carr has the time and Kamara has the lanes this offense will be highly efficient.

I love the swiss army knife, but old man time waits for no one. That's not saying Taysom is slowing down, but I think we need to make sure we're using him wisely and not unnecessarily exposing him to injury when it's not needed.

Travis Kelce is in the same boat, which is why I think his touches are down so far this season. He's still a heck of a player (just like Taysom), but he's just as good of a decoy as he is as an actual threat to get the ball. As long as they're effective with or without the ball in their hands, both players should be managed to extend their playing time while also capitalizing on their strengths.

Just my opinion, ya'll. Fire away.

now is not the time for Harris to miss games.

he was playing well and was only going to become more instrumental as the season went on.

I'd hate to lose him for more than 1 game that could set him back.

i'd say it was ramczyk letting rashan gary frick his wife and throw carr into the ground when we were up 17-0 knocking carr out game w shoulder injury thus starting the beginning of the huge injury bug and shite show of a '23 season after we started 2-0 then losing the game 18-17.

That's an excellent point. That seems to have severely stunted Carr's acclimation to the system.

Also, we'd hate likely kept Pete C. if we had made the playoffs, which would not be good.

As an olive branch, I am deleting my posts related to Taysom earlier in this thread and apologise to both he and you, as he is one of my favourite players in Saints history.
