May not even play this season. Will need surgery in the near future. We need players who can play right now.

Dodged a bullet? Or maybe his shoulder gets fixed and he becomes an all pro linebacker for the next 12 years

Or maybe he shoulder doesn't heal correctly and he's out the league in 2 years.

Extreme hypotheticals are fun.

On TV, Mayock said: “This kid’s got tape like Kuechly.” On TV, someone else worried about how long Foster’s surgically repaired shoulder would hold out. Earlier, the Niners said their doctors passed Foster and thought his shoulder was okay.
Lynch hollered to his chief medical officer, Jeff Ferguson: “You guys worried about his shoulder?”
“What shoulder!” Ferguson yelled back.

Because a number of Saints LB picks stop playing due to injuries and we need to keep the streak alive.

Truthfully, the Saints LB picks just don't seem to work out. They may be middling for a few seasons but nothing that really stands out. Looking back for an actual successful LB choice by the Saints, I think one need to go back to Mark Fields in 1995.

Hopefully Anzalone avoids the curse.

So by liking the OPs statement and the fact we didnt take Foster due to injury/injury history, that means I am effectively hating Lattimore, Analzone, and Kamara right?

He's had almost a dozen concussions in his lifetime. Not because of bad luck, but because the retard continues to lower his helmet and make first contact with the top of his head. Bama is on record saying this, and that they tried to coach it out of him early on. Just didn't work. And those hits will on;y get worse. Honestly, with his attitude, off the field issues and litany of injuries and concussions, he won't last 3 years.

I was WhoTF at first too. The more I have read, the better he looks. The if factor seems to have been grossly exaggerated by some. Just sharing that article that furthers the same point further.

If that's the expectation for rookies, then it's a poor one that is bound to cause people to make rash, kneejerk comments when a player isn't ready to play immediately.

The Saints would be happy for a rookie to play a large role immediately. Like any team. But if our hopes for the season rest with a rookie being an impact player right away, then we're doomed because very often, it takes rookies a while to get used to the speed and difficulty of the NFL game.

Foster's talent far outweighs the concerns at 32 in the 1st round.

Multiple sources now but same story and of course the Saints wanted to draft him anyway.

Forward to 1:30 is the reason we drafted him.
